WHAT PEOPLE SAY AB0UT WORKING HERE.
We’re a small shop so we wear a lot of hats. From brainstorming to production you often have your hands on many pieces of the workflow which is, simply put, great experience. And the variety of clients we work on adds even more spice to work life. It’s never a boring day at TMG! And I adore that. I also love working directly with Renee. Having a strong, creative female boss who isn’t afraid to jump in and take risks is everything.
I am so grateful for the opportunity I had to intern with The Miller Group. It was an invaluable professional experience to work with a small, tightly-knight team on such big, important projects. Throughout my time at TMG, I got to know Renee, Gary, Elaina and Bill, and found that they are the best kind of people, both professionally and personally. They were always receptive to my ideas, and respectful of my time and work-life balance. A major highlight of my experience was presenting a report to marketing leadership for an international brand. If you’re looking to gain experience in marketing and advertising, I can’t recommend The Miller Group highly enough!
Dreams come true at The Miller Group! With more than 5 years of agency experience in Germany I had the privilege to spend 18 months as an Account Executive at The Miller Group. Everybody in the different teams is very friendly, highly supportive and exceptionally knowledgeable. During the 18 months I got insights in all aspects of innovative U.S. marketing. I’ve been involved with pitches, campaigns, creative briefs, brand positioning statements, proposals, CRM management, video production, all aspects of digital marketing and the creation, maintenance and analysis of websites. I was participating in status meetings for medium-sized and Fortune 500 clients. The agency’s atmosphere is open minded, international and generates a great environment for creative thinking and disruptive new ideas. Especially the time I could spent with creative director and president Renee Miller was very helpful and inspiring to me. Renee is always on the cutting edge of marketing and reinvents the agency ahead of the latest trends. I thank every team member for helping me grow professionally and personally. I will always remember my great time at The Miller Group where I felt as a truly valued part of the family from the very beginning.
I’m thoroughly enjoying the time I spend at The Miller Group. Everyone is very welcoming and I felt part of the team from the first day I arrived from Milano. As an Art Director, I’m given the freedom to get involved with a wide range of projects. I’ve gained greater insight into working with other creatives as well as clients. I’m proud of the projects I’ve completed, including landing pages, ads, logos, sales presentations and branding campaigns.
My time at The Miller Group provided me with valuable experience and reinforced my excitement about pursuing a career in marketing. Throughout my time I contributed to various parts of the business while learning what it takes to be a part of an agency. Being trusted with various internal and client projects I was able to practice essential communication and organization skills while learning so much about the industry. I especially enjoyed being able to work closely with Renee, Gary and Elaina who are always interested in hearing your thoughts and ideas. I am so thankful I had the opportunity to work with and learn from such an amazing team!
I have grown so much as a young professional at The Miller Group. You’re not an intern but an integral team player from Day 1. I was given a great amount of responsibility which allowed for me to exponentially grow in not just my understanding of the advertising industry but in tangible communication and strategic skills I will take with me for the rest of my life. Renee and Gary welcomed me into The Miller Group family and treated me with great kindness and respect. I will always be grateful for the opportunities, experiences and memories I made at The Miller Group.
Coro Fellow, Account Coordinator
As a Coro Fellow in Public Affairs, working with The Miller Group has been a once in a lifetime experience. Prior to my placement here, I had limited working knowledge of marketing and advertising. However, the staff at The Miller Group did not let that stop me. Instead they supported me and taught me how to work in this industry. These tasks included assisting: new business acquisition, credential presentations, developing pitch decks, sending e-blasts, managing CRM systems, practicing PR Skills, and more. One of my favorite things, however, was writing an article with the agency founder, Renee Miller, about common tips in the workplace that are often forgotten called “Regardless of Generations, These Tips Lead to Success in the Workplace.” They also provide a wealth of coffeemakers in the office, which makes working here even better!
I was blessed to work for Renee while still in school at Loyola Marymount University. I’ll admit I was clueless, not really knowing what I wanted to do with my graphic design degree. I remember on my first day as an intern Renee brought me over to her library of advertising award show books and said, “Read through these. This is what we’re shooting for.”
Renee has never stopped pursuing award show worthy work. She has never settled for the easy solution because great work leads to great results for her clients. I could not have asked for a better first boss, mentor and friend. I truly credit her for putting me on the right path which has led to creative director roles at Deutsch and AT&T. I feel like I still benefit from her example to this day.
I enjoyed my time being exposed to working in marketing and advertising, and Renee, Gary, and Elaina made me feel very welcomed and trusted me with a variety of projects. I got to work closely with clients, build my portfolio, build on old skills and learn several new ones that I know will benefit me in the future. I will always remember my time at The Miller Group!
Working with the Miller Group allowed me to dabble in both the creative and analytical sides of advertising. Thanks to the intimate work environment, it wasn’t long before I felt at home in the office. I was able to build my portfolio and make long-lasting relationships that I will always be thankful for.
Account & Creative Coordinator
In working for The Miller Group, I am able to wear multiple hats and dig into different areas in management as well as creative development. As a full-time member of a terrific team, I am entrusted significant responsibilities and learn many skills such as CRM, web development and design. Thanks to the friendly work environment and welcoming co-workers, I was able to truly thrive and prosper.
Coro Fellow, Account Coordinator
I had the pleasure of being placed at The Miller Group as part of my Coro Fellowship program in Public Affairs. My experience working in marketing and advertising for the first time was extremely valuable in that I got to learn brand new skill sets and improve existing ones. I learned about branding, CRM, and creative strategy all of which I found to be applicable to myself as someone who would like to learn what it takes to stand out as a public official and/or political thought leader. The Miller Group was an excellent place to dive into projects that challenged me, to demonstrate teamwork and initiative, and to experiment with many creative ideas. Most importantly, I will miss all of my colleagues, including Renee and Gary. They are the ones who create a positive atmosphere in the office and motivate people around them to put their best foot forward at all times. That is the type of work environment I thrive in.
Coro Fellow, Account Coordinator
I was placed with the Miller Group as part of my Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs, and got a first-hand taste of the advertising world. From day one, Renee and Gary gave me the opportunity to help craft new content. Throughout my time here, I saw how creative entrepreneurs grow and run a business. Everyone at the Miller Group is a true professional with a wealth of knowledge, and an easygoing jokester with a wonderful sense of humor. This made my internship a delight.
The Miller Group welcomed me very warmly to their team, so I felt like a fully integrated employee from the first moment. As an art director I was involved in all ongoing projects, that’s why I got an extensive insight into the daily routine of an advertising agency. Additionally, I learned a lot about the culture, traditions and the cuisine of the United States, I was even invited to a traditional Thanksgiving dinner. I still enjoy working together with The Miller Group as a graphic design freelancer and look forward to upcoming projects together.
Before starting at The Miller Group I worked as a social media intelligence and research expert in Europe. I’d spent years pointing out the weak points of social media communication for a large number of companies and organization. As soon as I started at The Miller Group with supervision I was handling the social media communication and it was really an eye opener. Suddenly I was the one involved with planning and executing plans, managing all social media channels as well as content marketing in the form of managing blogs, creating whitepapers, measuring and evaluating as well as doing research for new prospects and target groups. I have a MA in journalism so it fit me perfectly to have a role that could combine my interest in social media communication with my love of writing…
When I got the confirmation for an internship at the Miller Group in Los Angeles, a dream came true! My time here was even better than I would have ever expected. I feel like I have grown during my time here. Renee and Gary taught me a lot. Especially how client relationships work and the most professional ways to work with them. Being here has given me new views about Online Marketing and the potential of it. I’m excited about the future and I’m so grateful for all my colleagues and new friends here. TMG – We definitely stay in touch!
During my marketing studies at university I was fascinated with how brands work, what makes consumers buy products and develop brand loyalty. As an Account Coordinator intern at TMG, I got to dive into many brands of various industries. It’s the variety that makes working at TMG so appealing to me. It’s not to be taken for granted, but at TMG we believe in team spirit – not only in the office but also during our leisure time.
I studied Applied Media at the university, so naturally I am very much interested in the planning and implementation of new projects. During my internship, I got a deeper look into different departments and I learned how the marketing industry works on a daily basis. Furthermore, I was able to expand my knowledge by working with project management and customer relationship management systems. I was also able to sit in on meetings with clients, help write RFPs and conference reports and assist with the creation of presentations for our clients.
My experience at TMG has been tremendously enriching. I’ve always felt like a valued member of the team, and I’ve had the chance to work closely with everybody. I studied business in France and my internship at The Miller Group truly enabled me to gain hands-on experience and put my skills to work. Now I have a better understanding of how a unified digital agency works. I’ve really enjoyed my time here, and learned so much. I will always be grateful to the whole team for helping me grow personally and professionally.
